CTPP Oversight Board Webinar on PSAP Progress

This webinar discussed the 2020 Census Participant Statistical Areas Program (PSAP) block group and tract delineation criteria. CTPP data releases after the 2020 Decennial Census will no longer report by TAZ, but by block groups instead. Included were: an update on the process we initiated to adapt to this change, including a discussion on how the new PSAP criteria will better enable us to align block group and TAZ boundaries to sustain the value of CTPP data for modeling and transportation planning and analysis.
Learn about PSAP, how you can get involved, and who’s participating in your region. This webinar allowed significant time for Q&A:
1. Welcome and Overview – Ben Gruswitz of CTPP Program Oversight Board and the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission (DVRPC)
2. PSAP Overview, Criteria, and Contact List – Josh Coutts of the US Census Bureau’s Geography Division
3. Why participation is important – Arash Mirzaei & Kathleen Yu of North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG)
4. Q&A
