The Presence of the CTPP Program at the 2019 ACS Users Conference

Nearly 300 ACS data users attended the 2019 ACS Data Users Conference, held May 14-15, 2019, at the American University Washington College of Law in Washington, DC. PRB organized the conference in partnership with the U.S. Census Bureau and with guidance from an ACS Data Users Group Steering Committee. The program brought together more than 50 contributed presentations by ACS data users, invited sessions with Census Bureau staff, Census Bureau product demonstrations, informal meetups, and opportunities for networking.

Penelope Weinberger, the Transportation Data Program Manager at AASHTO, presented in the conference. The talk outlined the history, utilities, limitations, and the status quo of the CTPP data, a special tabulation of the ACS data. In addition, she provided the program’s experiences and suggestions on items such as ordering custom tables from the Census Bureau.
